President & Treasurer
Shirley Frost became a director in April 2015 and has enjoyed her first year in the role of Treasurer.
Shirley came to live in Upper Clearwater in the spring of 2010 with her husband Nick and is now operating her own business as a 'virtual assistant'. Shirley helps the team with many of the social events, making her very 'chocolaty' chocolate cakes!
"I have supported Nick with the various projects he has undertaken for the UCFI and last year I thought it was time for me to become more directly involved in the day-to-day business of the Institute. Being Treasurer is quite a lot of work - but jolly good fun. I now add the role of President!"
My husband, son and I moved in the valley just before winter 2013. We wanted a change in our lives, so we closed our eyes and jumped. We all fell in love with the place and can't be more grateful to live in such a splendid area, where others spend their holidays. We operate a B&B and like to share our love for nature and history with our guests. I hope to be of value to the board and my community.
Hello, my name is Claudette.
I moved to the upper Clearwater area in 2004. The Upper Clearwater Hall has also been a part of my move here because it is such a “Great place” to see all of your neighbors by attending the community activities.
With such a close location to the Wells Gray Provincial Park, I have been in the Tourism Business since I moved here.
My Goal is to keep the Hall and the UCFI strong for the community.
Corina Frost became a director in April 2015 and is the Social Events co-ordinator, putting on community events such as the Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s and Easter potluck parties.
Corina moved into the valley with her husband, Jonathan in 2010 and is enjoying raising their three children here.
“I am thoroughly enjoying the role I have in the UCFI and being part of this team. I really welcome new ideas and input from others for a variety of social events.”
Larry is a longtime resident of Upper Clearwater.
